“Get away from her, you bitch!” - Ripley to Alien Queen
So I’m going to have to go with Tom Blain of jackasscritics.com on this one and say that James Cameron’s Aliens, is my favorite alien movie of all time. Aliens took the original formula and pumped it with adrenaline, turning an excellent sci-fi horror movie into a sci-fi balls-to-the-walls action flick. Here we see Ripley’s maternal instinct mix with her ass kicking instinct as she fights aliens and saves a little girl. This movie defines alien movies, and it also defines action movies.

**Since Tom beat me to the punch for recommending Aliens, I would also recommend seeing the other flicks in this 4 film franchise - Alien is Ridley Scott’s classic and it definitely sits within the halls of best movies of all time. Alien 3 is artsy aliens - a dark, flawed film with huge talent and potential backing it. Give it a chance and you’ll see the work of early David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac). Alien: Resurrection is a gore-fest that is visually out of control - directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, this one is worth a ganders as well.
