It’s almost Halloween, and that means its time for scary movies, monster flicks, gross out gore, B-movies, and creepy Japanese horror. What do you plan on watching this weekend? Check out my list…

1. An Alien movie. Most likely one of the first two since I like those two the most. Watch Ripley duke it out with evolved super-killing aliens and cheer her on!

Aliens

2. Slither. I just nabbed this fun, comedy-horror flick for under 10 bucks. I loved it when I saw it a year ago, and it should be a relative crowd pleaser. Funny with an abundance of gross out alien gore makes for good times.

Slither 2

3. Shaun of the Dead. Simon Pegg and his zombie parody is a great light viewing. Personally, I like it more than the Hot Fuzz. Zombies are kind of funny in general, and this British comedy takes the zombie movie to new comedic heights.

4. The Descent. A real creepy flick made within the last year. Cave spelunking was never this crazy -violent. Put on your gore goggles and beware of what lurks around that stalactite.

I’m sure you’re already aware, but The Descent came out in the UK in 2005, so it certainly wasn’t made within the past year! Personally, I didn’t care for it much. For Halloween, I chose to watch Hostel (the first one). Meh.
