I Am Legend (I-Am-Immune.com)
It seems that Warner Brothers has decided to add an interesting component to its “I Am Legend” marketing. It launched I-Am-Immune.com to provide fans with an online community and a viral gaming experience in hopes of creating buzz for the upcoming release of “I Am Legend” which will be in theaters December 14, 2007.
I’ll admit I’m a sucker for these things. Being a web designer, I love the recent trend of extending the movie or tv watching experience through an interactive online experience. Hopefully, this will be as fun as the Lost Experience which I will gladly admit to have participated in. Granted, it doesn’t seem that the I Am Immune game is quite as engrossing nor is it designed to be a true alternate reality experience, but this game does include free swag!
Apparently, you join the game and perform various “street challenges” which involve visiting certain places in real life to receive free swag as well as a new code that allows you to “stay immune”. Grand prize is a trip to the world premiere at Madison Square Garden! Street challenges start November 24th.
