If you’re into classic rock or am a Die Hard Apatow fan, Walk Hard is right down your alley; don’t let its weak box office sway you… Read the whole review Get It: DVD |

Release Date: March 25, 2008 Comments: Thankfully, quirkiness and on-screen gaffes is not all this movie offers (which can’t quite be said of some Wes Anderson movies). The movie provides a wonderfully simple story that, despite the dark setting, is truly optimistic about life itself. Release Date: April 8, 2008 Comments: We didn’t get to see this movie until the AMC Oscar’s Best Pictures Screening and as a result never posted a full review. In short, it was terrific. Daniel Day Lewis really earned his Best Actor award. You don’t have to take our word for it, though. How about a 92 on both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic? Get It: Standard |

Release Date: April 8, 2008 Comments: A movie about the Loch Ness monster? Some have billed it as the next E.T.: Extra Terrestrial. If I had kids, I think I’d be a little more tempted. For now, I’ll just keep it in my memory banks. Get It: DVD |

Release Date: March 25, 2008 Comments: Alvin and the Chipmunks, the five-time Grammy award winning, animated group goes live action (with a little CG). I loved watching these little critters as a kid, but I admit I avoided watching this in theaters as I couldn’t justify going out and paying $12 to see it (oy.. New York is expensive). But, hey, sometimes you get nostalgic… well not enough to move it anywhere above end-of-the-netflix-queue material. Get It: DVD |
