This Week’s Video Highlights
Here’s a quick featurette on The Forbidden Kingdom, the new Jackie Chan-Jet Li joint movie. It opened up this Friday, though it seems that there wasn’t much publicity on it. I have to say I’m intrigued, though disappointed that it isn’t a proper wu xia flick.

Also, now that Forgetting Sarah Marshall has premiered, it’s time to update our rotation of trailers in the sidebar. We’ve added the new Indiana Jones trailer as one of our five most anticipated movies. If you’re lucky, it might be displayed now, if not you’ll just have to keep your eye out as you cruise our site. Or, you can justcheck out the Indiana Jones IV trailer here.

If that’s not enough, check out the weekly news and link round up after the jump.

From Around the Net

  • Word on the street is that Dreamworks and Steven Spielberg have purchased the rights to one of my favorite anime movies, Ghost in the Shell. They want to go 3-D live action with it. I’m not sure if I agree with the tactic, but it could prove to be a pretty cool flick. (Thanks to RowThree for the lead.)
  • In a not quite movie related piece of news, my favorite TV show, How I Met Your Mother, is bringing back Robin Sparkles! And, James Vander Beek is apparently the next in a line of quasi-celebrity guest stars for the show.
  • Every decade or so, someone has to go after the 3-D movie, this time James Cameron is leading the charge. Check out what he has to say at Variety. (Thanks to CinemaFusion for the lead.)
  • Here’s a funny little run down of the most famous rabbits to appear on the big screen.
