Anyone who likes movies or TV or any sort of motion picture medium has probably heard of Hulu by now. But, if you haven’t, it’s a great time to get out of that cave you’ve been living in. It’s a joint venture of NBC Universal and News Corp. (Fox) and houses videos of TV shows and movies made by these two studios and their subsidiaries. One of its coolest features is that it houses many great TV series that have since been canceled or have finished their TV runs like Doogie Howser, Arrested Development, and Kitchen Confidential. Up until now, there’s only been a smattering of movies and more of them old and obscure than truly of interest. But, that’s all about to change!

Starting two days ago and going til mid-August, Hulu is releasing a new hit every weekday. So far, they’ve put out Lost in Translation, The Three Stooges Collection (18 most popular episodes from 1934-1936), and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Okay, not necessarily show stoppers, but definitely some good stuff. The best part is that these aren’t bootleg videos streaming from some Chinese server. These videos come in 480p, not quite HD, but more than adequate to play full screen on your computer or even hook up to your standard def TV. The one negative is that Hulu is getting a bit aggressive with their monetization. All videos, even movies, now come with commercial breaks. Hulu, if you’re reading this, there’s got to be a better way!
